Don proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. After his military service, he dedicated his career to the Arizona Department of Corrections, where he rose to the position of deputy warden. He retired in September 2000, concluding decades of committed service to public safety and justice.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Wittman; his children, Michael Wittman and Patricia Rowley; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial & celebration of life for Donald will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Sunland Mortuary Lakeside Chapel, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ. 85351. Following the memorial & celebration of life will be a burial with military honors from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd. Phoenix, AZ. 85024.
