It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of our beloved Dorothy, who left this world peacefully on the evening of July 18th, 2025, just before 10pm, in her cherished Arizona home. She was surrounded by love, with her devoted husband of 70 years, Robert, and her adoring granddaughter by her side.
Dorothy and Robert met through ballroom dancing, as young teachers whose shared rhythm carried them through a lifetime. For seventy years, they danced through life, hand in hand, always in rhythm. They shared intimate trips to California, quiet moments by the lake, and scoops of ice cream accompanied by smiles that said more than words ever could.
She found joy in life's simplest pleasures, including floating in the pool, walking to the lake, spending an afternoon shopping, enjoying a movie in the evening, or dining at her favorite steakhouse. She had an eye for beautiful things, from magnificent homes to exquisite furniture, and always noticed the details others might overlook. A talented seamstress, she tailored everything to fit just right and kept a home that was both welcoming and impeccably cared for. She was proud of her years as an account clerk for the Police Department, but above all, it was her family that mattered most.
Her greatest gift was the love she gave so joyfully. She had a warmth that filled a room, a soft laugh you'd do anything to hear, and an unspoken knowing for when someone needed her. She always knew when to call, when to listen, and when to simply sit beside you so you didn't feel alone.
Dorothy and Robert shared a love that spanned lifetimes, the kind that dances through decades and never fades. On Monday, September 29th, she will be laid to rest, but her story doesn't end there. Her spirit lingers in every warm breeze, every still lake, every gentle silence. She leaves behind her husband, Robert, and many cherished family and friends.
Though her time here is over, her soft and golden light lives on in all of us who were lucky enough to call her ours.
