Elaine K Martin

Elaine K Martin of Sun City, Arizona, passed away peacefully in Sun City on April 6, 2016. She was born in Milbank, SD, on September 25, 1921. She grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where she attended high school and college and she was a teacher for more than 20 years. She was married to Bernard Martin in 1942 and they were married for 49 years. They moved to Sun City in 1977.

She was preceded by her loving husband Bernard, daughter Julia Moxley, her parents Joseph and Alodia Goodrich and her sisters, Phyllis Goodrich, Rita Gipson, Audrey Mason and Dorothy Goodrich.

She is survived by her daughter Jolaine, her son Tom and theirs as well as Julia's families, her sister Maryann Goodrich, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

She was a member of The Catholic Church of St. Joachim & St. Anne in Sun City. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and visiting her family. She was active member of the PTA, involved in girl scouts and boy scouts.

We will always remember her sense of humor, attitude, outlook on life and her love for us. She will live in our hearts forever. We wish to thank the staffs of Banner Hospice and the Woodmark Assisted Living Facility for their comfort and great care.
