Elizabeth Jane Kapsos

Elizabeth (Betty) Jane Kapsos was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Margaret Klebenow on December 13, 1929. She was the fourth of five sisters, Caroline, Delores, Margie, Betty, and Elaine. She graduated high school and then worked at Cutler-Hammer in Milwaukee, WI until she met and married Andrew Anthony Kapsos in 1949. They lived in Milwaukee and eventually moved to Greendale, WI in 1962 with their two children, Philip and Andrea. Betty worked as a housewife until 1968 when she then worked as an assistant manager at South Shore Indoor Racquey Club in Milwaukee. She and Andy enjoyed playing tennis together with Andy as a doubles team and ran the Saturday Night Doubles Tennis Matches. In 1985, shortly after Andy had retired, they moved and purchased a home in Sun City West, AZ. They continued to play tennis as a doubles team and enjoyed the sun and fun that Arizona had to offer. They also both enjoyed gambling and would take bus trips to Cliff Castle Casino. Andrew passed away in 2007 and as a widow, Betty continued to take gambling trips and spend time with her sister, Margie and her husband, George, who also live in Sun City West. Betty was a devout Catholic and would attend service every Sunday up until the start of the pandemic in 2020. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and cooking. Betty passed peacefully into eternal life on January 20, 2022 and is survived by her two children, Philip and Andrea and grand-daughter, Rebecca.
