Ellis DeLay, Jr passed away May 13, 2015 in Sun City West, AZ at age 88. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Beverly Sue DeLay (Voss), their three children, daughter Janet (Dave) Kerkhoff, sons Donald (Theresa) DeLay and Scott DeLay, a sister Garnell Horton, grandchildren Lisa (Chris) Aird, Bryan DeLay, Donnita Rich (Conley), Karen Collins (William), Morgan DeLay and Victoria DeLay, great grandchildren Kayla, Ryan, Jenna, Rebecca, Abby and Tyrese. Ellis served in the United States Navy 1944 through 1946. He was a machinist for 43 years and worked with the Johns Manville Company. Ellis loved baseball and for 22 years was a volunteer usher for Peoria spring training and he also worked at Chase Field for 16 years. A memorial service will be held May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am at Sunland Mortuary Lakeside Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351. Interment will take place at a later date at Earlham Cemetery in Indiana.
