Eugene was a Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Eugene was a member of various bands from 1939 to the present including Fireman’s Band of Webster, NY & Pittsford, NY. He was a Damascus Shriner of Rochester, NY & an El Zaribah Shriner of AZ. He served as a commander for Legion Post #1830 of Barton Miller Post & the Sun City Concert Band. Eugene was predeceased by his sons Richard & Kennith. He is survived by his wife Audrey, son David (Carla), daughter Patricia (Greg) Northrup, granddaughters Stephanie (Kent) Stauffer, Jennifer Abel, Miranda Melville, grandson Alex Melville, 7 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Beverly Nordstrom, cousin Dolors McCombs, and many nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley 1510 E Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014 or to Shriner Childrens Hospital 552 N. 40th St. Phoenix, AZ 85008. There will be a 9 AM Visitation followed by a 10AM Funeral Service in Eugene’s honor at Sunland Mortuary on Friday July 13, 2012.
