Eugene “Gene” O’Boyle, beloved husband, father and grandfather of Sun City, AZ, passed away on April 2, 2015. Gene was born in Chicago, IL on February 24, 1928. He graduated from St. George’s High School and Loyola University. He married Eleanor Grotz on July 31, 1954. After several years of living in Springfield, IL, the O’Boyle family moved to Phoenix, AZ. Gene retired from Allstate Insurance after 32 years. Gene loved to fish, spend his leisure time in Rocky Point and Munds Park and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Gene is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ele; his five children, Daniel, Elizabeth, Michael, Timothy, and Eileen; and his 11 beloved grandchildren. Visitation is on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 5-6 pm with a rosary from 6-7 pm at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. Mass is on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
