George attended Hempstead High School in New York in the early 1950's. His academic skills, and his ability to learn and comprehend the theory of electronics became apparent at this early age as an active member of the schools "Radio Club"
He joined the US Army in 1957, and served as a missile repair technician.
After leaving military service, he went to work as an electronic technician for Amperex Electronics, a vacuum tube manufacturer. Although he was self taught, and never went to college, the company recognized his abilities, and advanced him to their engineering department.
In the early 1970's he became a partner with his brother in a company building custom electro-mechanical machinery, and in 1990, the pair closed the business, and started work at Greenfield Industries, which had been one of their largest clients.
George retired, and moved to Arizona in the late 1990's.
As a retiree, he enjoyed working on his computer, and designing high speed model race cars called "tether cars". One of the cars he helped design is currently the World's fastest electric powered model car.
He will be missed !!!
