blind eyes upward and spoke words to those whom only she couldsee. Within the hour she was gone.
She is now with her spouse of more than 60 years, Norman, her parents Rufus and Ethel Broyles, brother Avery Broyles and sister
Roberta Kelleher. She leaves behind her youngest sister Faye Voda of Naperville, Illinois and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces
and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Auntie Gladys, as she was known by most of us, was born on Feb 23,
1917 in Southern Illinois. That life of over I00 years expired on Sept 29'*', 2017 in her room at Freedom Plaza in Peoria, Arizona.
She was a teacher, world traveler, avid golfer and quite the card player. If the right music was played she would stop whatever she
was doing and announce "that's my queue". That said, she would dance one mean Charleston all through the house encouraging those
around to join. Niece Kathy Kelleher remembers Uncle Norman saying that Gladys never failed to wake with a smile and a happy thought. She was his
sunshine, his "Glady". We will miss your loving smile Auntie Gladys. An angel on this earth having touched the hearts of so many.
Your spirit now abides within us continuing to bring life, joy and love.
