Harry was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 7, 1930. He served in the Ohio National Guard from September 7, 1948 to October 17, 1949 and the U.S. Army from October 18, 1949 to January 16, 1953 - as an Auto Mechanic. He also served in the U.S Air Force from February 8, 1954 to June 30, 1972 - in Intelligence (served three tours in Vietnam). Harry and his wife Edith, of more than 60 years, enjoyed traveling the world as he served his country. During his military career, he was stationed at Kelly AFB, Texas, Darmstadt, Germany; Bitburg, Germany; Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota; Munich, Germany; Hanscom Field, Massachusetts; Saigon, Vietnam; Rhein Main AB, Germany; and Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. He went to work for the United States Postal Service in 1973 and retired as a Postal Inspector in 1993. Harry had a passion for the game of golf. He carried a single digit handicap for the majority of his life.
