

Rev. Horace Burgess Glenn, 100, peacefully passed away into the arms of Jesus on May 6, 2015. Horace was born on February 16, 1915 to the late Roland and Della Glenn in Paris, TX. He was a member of the Church of God in Cleveland, TN, pastoring many churches throughout his life in California, Missouri, Arizona and Washington. Horace enjoyed fishing, he was a volunteer for the Woodmark Assisted Living and was recently honored and pinned with 2000 plus volunteer hours at Banner Olive Branch Senior Center, where Horace taught board games, cards, and Dominos. He is survived by his three loving children, Bill and wife Dorothy Glenn, Robert and wife Imogene Glenn and Gwendolyn and husband Walter Whipkey; four loving stepchildren, Leland and wife Lou Ann Counts, Steven and wife Lucinda Counts, Robbie and husband George Rhoades and Christine and husband Charles Proudfit; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren. Horace is preceded in death by his first beloved wife, Ruby Beatrice Glenn of 30 years and his beloved second wife, Wanda Lee Glenn of 43 years. The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 15, 2015 with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Sunland Mortuary Lakeside Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City.
