AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Howard M. Fromson

1 janvier 1939 – 12 février 2026
Avis de décès de Howard M. Fromson
AUX SOINS DE

Sunland Memorial Park, Mortuary & Cremation Center

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Howard M. Fromson, born on January 1, 1939, who went to be at peace with the love of his life, Erika, on February 12, 2026, at the age of 87.

Howard M. Fromson grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He met Erika Hennig, the love of his life, while stationed in Berlin, Germany, with the U.S. Army. The two were married in Berlin, Germany on January 19, 1958.Howard was devoted to his faith and Erika later converted to Judaism, and they raised their children with the faith as well. In 1958, Howard left the Army and moved to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1959, where he and Erika raised their family, having three children: Neal, Darryl, and Kim. Howard made his career in the financial planning and insurance industry, becoming very successful in this line of work until he retired.

In 1970, the family moved to sunny San Diego, California, where Howard and Erika lived until 2009. They loved California, and Howard and Erika's three children still live throughout the state to this day. Howard's hobbies included family activities such as camping and attending temple, as well as supporting his children in their sports activities. He and Ericka were so proud to see all three of their children's Bat and Bar Mitzvahs at Temple Emanuel in San Diego. Howard was also proudly in attendance for all three of his children's graduation from college and their success in their respective fields: Neal as a high school teacher and football coach, Kim as an elementary school teacher, and Darryl following in Howard's footsteps in insurance sales.

Howard retired at age 58 and spent 12 years traveling with Erika, experiencing all the world had to offer. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona, for new adventures, enjoying many hobbies such as lawn bowling, going to the casino, attending theatre, and participating in activities at their independent living community and their last residence The Palms in Sun City, Arizona. Howard and Erika shared a deep bond and spent 66 loving years together until Erika's passing on July 27, 2024. Howard took this loss deeply and missed his adoring wife every day.

Howard passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, while listening to Frank Sinatra's “My Way” with his daughter by his side. He was a dedicated father and husband, good with money, loved sports and poker at the casino, and enjoyed talking and getting to know people. He was very stubborn and independent, traits that his family loved about him. Howard was a deeply loved man and will be equally missed.

The family is honoring Howard's wishes, and no memorial services are to be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society in Howard's memory.
