Janet R. Thayer

Janet R. Thayer (nee: Schroeder), 80, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away on May 13, 2014 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born in in St Joseph, MN. After high school she moved to Minneapolis where she met the love of her life, Ron. They were married after Ron returned from the Korean conflict and eventually settled in Bloomington, MN, where they raised their three children. After the children were grown, Janet worked as an administrative assistant at Film Tec. Upon retiring, Janet and Ron moved to Sun City West. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last August.

Janet is survived by her beloved husband , Ronald Thayer; children, Dean Thayer and his wife, Debra, Denise Grote and Douglas Thayer; sister, Joyce Richmond; grandchildren Brandi, Sheyna, Ryan and Alexandra; great grandchildren, Zane, Dax and Nolan.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351 623-933-0161.
