Jean Putnam was born before the Great Depression but spent much of her formative years growing up within it. Like many from her generation, she learned to be frugal, to be giving, and to be thankful for what she had. Those qualities embodied her life until the very end of her 101 years. Her soul will live on for eternity and she will be remembered and cherished for her warm smile, generous heart, and sincere kindness.
She grew up in Michigan and in 1947 married Donald Putnam. They had two children, Kay and Michael. The family moved to Arizona in 1971 where she resided until her passing.
Jean is survived by her two children kay and Michael, son-in-law, and a daughter-in-law, three grandchildren and their spouses and seven great grandchildren. Donations in her memory should be made to Hospice of the Valley.
