Julia Ann Harvey

Julia Ann Harvey of Peoria, Arizona passed away on April 20, 2021 at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William Gordon Harvey and survived by their son Thomas and daughter, Catherine Roberts, grandchildren Brian Harvey, Kimberly Harvey Kalmbach and Carrie Roberts Horner and seven great grandchildren.

Born in Champaign, Illinois on November 24, 1928, Julia was raised in Chicago where she graduated from high school as Salutatorian, attended Monmouth College where she met and married Bill in 1948 then moved to Arizona in 1959.

Julia served as PTA president and Arizona State membership chairman, Christ Presbyterian Church secretary and Sunday school teacher, and hosted a foreign exchange student from Norway for one year. When Tom and Cathy went off to college, she started a business career at Thunderbird Graduate School where she rose to Director of College Relations.

After retiring in 1990, she volunteered in the Administration Office at Arrowhead Hospital for 15 years and traveled the world. She enjoyed retirement at Freedom Plaza in Peoria playing bridge, exercising, solving crossword puzzles, Sudoku and computer solitaire; as well as serving on the Foundation Board. Julia was loved by her family, many friends, bridge club, and colleagues for her warmth, sharp wit and organization. The family will privately celebrate her life.
