Kenneth Leon Hill passed away January 24, 2015 at the age of 84. Originally from Weymouth, Mass., and raised in Ashtabula, Ohio, Kenneth joined the Merchant Marines at the age of 14. He then joined the Army at age 17. Ken worked in construction both in California and Alaska and also owned his own business for several years. He opened a Mexican restaurant in Fairbanks, Alaska and then went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Fairbanks and Puerto Rico. After retiring from FAA, Ken ran a bed & breakfast for 12 years in Anchorage, Alaska. In the last 15 years, he and his wife have been snowbirds, spending their summers in Alaska and winters in Arizona.
Ken is survived by his wife, Laurine, brother John Hill, children Steven Hill and Cherie Hill LaRue, 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents John Hill and Lillian Harper Hill and siblings Ronald Hill, Armas Hill, Coralee Hill Smith and Elizabeth Hill Crago.
