

Lauren Beth Conklin (Blok), 54, of Peoria, Arizona passed away on April 1, 2015. She passed away unexpectedly at her home. Lauren was born in Los Angeles, California on September 15, 1960 to her parents Martin and Carol Blok. The family resided in California until 1969 when they moved back to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, her parent’s hometown. Lauren attended local schools and graduated from North High School in 1978.
In 1986 Lauren moved to Phoenix, Arizona and was employed by Citi Bank for a number of years as an escrow officer at a number of Title Companies and at Aetna Insurance Company. Lauren was an excellent employee no matter where she worked and always known for her professionalism and pleasant personality. In August of 1995 while living in Mesa she met the love of her life, John Conklin and they were married October 28th that same year. Since their marriage they have made their home in Peoria.
Lauren was a kind, loving, giving and patient person and to know her was to love her. For the last four years, Lauren and John have lovingly been caring for her parents in their home. She was a very creative person and always enjoyed sewing, redecorating and working in her yard. She was a lover of all animals, especially her little sixteen year old Toy Fox Terrier, Rocky.
Surviving relatives are her husband, John, her parents, Martin and Carol Blok. Also surviving are her father-in-law Charles Conklin, sisters-in-law, Ellen (Paul) De Lucia, Susan (Steven) Schoeny and Barbara Conklin, a brother-in-law Roger Conklin, and aunt, Elsie Wagner, many cousins, friends and a special friend, Linda. She is predeceased by her paternal grandparents Martin and Mary Blok, her maternal grandparents, Walter and Frieda Wagner and her mother-in-law, Dorothy Conklin.
A memorial service will be held for Lauren 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 10, 2015 at American Lutheran Church in Sun City, Arizona. There will be a memorial fund in her name for the ASPCA and the American Lung Association.
