He was born in Cicero, Illinois.
Leo proudly served in the United States Army in World War II in Europe. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Lorraine.
The family moved to Phoenix in 1959. Leo worked as a plumber for the Maricopa County Colleges. He was known for his keen sense of humor. Leo loved golfing, dancing, and Christmas time.
His wife Lorraine predeceased him in 1999. He is survived by a sister, Sylvia Wolfe , and a brother Stanley (Eileen) Stancukas, children Joyce Stan-Smith, Robert (Marla) Stan, and Audrey (Jerry) Barrett, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
A rosary and visitation will be held Friday, December 2 at 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Boulevard. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Clements Catholic Church, 15800 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ.
