

Passed in her sleep in the early morning of July 7th ,2011, at the age of 94 due to complications of lung and colorectal cancer.
Marion was born on May 8, 1917 in Gowanda, N.Y., to German immigrant parents as the youngest of five children. She married Glen E. Mansfield and gave birth to their only child Sheryl Ann. They lived in Rochester, N.Y. most of their adult lives where Glen worked as a sales representative for Texaco and Marion worked at a stationary store in the local plaza.
They retired to Sun City in 1978. Glen passed away Feb. 11, 1995 and is interred in Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City.
Marion is survived by their daughter Sheryl and Sheryl’s husband Neil vanHooydonk who reside in Dallas, TX; her granddaughter Kristen Marie (vanHooydonk) Owens and her husband Dr. Brian Owens and their children Kaitlyn (8), Brendan (6) and Braxton (4) who live in College Station, TX, her grandson Bryan vanHooydonk, his wife Meghan, and their daughters Kaela (15) and Addison (1) who live in Frisco, TX. Special mention of her sister-in-law Madge Mansfield , Cherry Hill, N.J., her nephew Jim Vogel , Rochester, N.Y., her niece Karen Andruschat , Buffalo, N.Y., Jane and Ed Cook, Dave Schlote, Mary Ann Garza, Micky Burnette, John and Margaret Goshinska and her many other friends in Sun City.
Her ashes are interred in the Prayer Garden at Faith Presbyterian Church where she was a long-time active member.
A memorial service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday July 23, 2011 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 16,000 N. Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351-1699 (623) 974-3611
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Memorial Fund at Faith Presbyterian Church.
