Marion Sally Miosi

Marion Sally Dimaio was born on February 3, 1923 in Chicago, IL to Placida and Francesco Dimaio. She had 4 brothers and a sister who have preceded her in death - Frank, Adam, Frank, Ross and Theresa. She married David Miosi in 1943. While on their honeymoon he received orders to serve in WWII. He returned home to their first born son. They had 6 children - Anthony Miosi (married to Nancy Mueller), Frank Miosi (married to Priscilla Bianchini), Kathy Rose (deceased 2011), Patricia West (married to Elmer West), Carol Trelford (married to David Trelford) and Nancy Forney (married to David Forney). A beloved niece - Patricia Dimaio-Simon. They were married 54 years until the death of David in 1997.

She has 10 grandchildren: Melisa Miosi-Baltes (Frank & Priscilla), Lisa Miosi-Martin (Tony & Nancy), Pauline Miosi-Marquez (Tony & Nancy), Angela Miosi-Senegal (Frank & Priscilla), Michelle Marino-Gildemeister (Patricia West), Rachel Marino-Wohlfeil (Patricia West), David Forney, Jr. (Nancy & David), Scott Rose (Kathy Rose), Maria Forney-Kruger (Nancy & David) and Kathryn Trelford (Carol & David).

She has 13 great grandchildren: Emmanuel, Rebecca & Gabriel Marquez (Pauline Marquez), Lailah, David & Sophia Senegal (Angela & Tony Senegal), Logan & Olivia Wohlfeil (Rachel & Brian Wohlfeil), Giada Lacoppola, Tyler & Aubrey Gildemeister (Michelle & Brian Gildemeister), Elizabeth & Ruthie Kruger (Maria & Matthew Kruger).

In 1980, Marion and David moved to Arizona to prospect for gold. They were involved in many activities along with prospecting. One was joining the Italian American Club. Both Marion and David were 1st generation Americans from Sicily. Marion went on to become the president of the Italian Club were she is remembered and loved by all. She had the gift of dance, laughter, entertaining and organization. She would often brag how well she was at sports, playing softball in the 1930's. She had additional hobbies and one love was bowling. She bowled a near perfect game and was on leagues since her young adult years. While raising her children, she would help her husband run his business as an electrician by keeping the books. She helped the family by also selling Sarah Coventry Jewelry and Stanley Products.
