

Mary Aileen Eagan Henry, born Sept. 23, 1925, to Walter and Kathleen Caswell Eagan in Ontario, Canada passed away peacefully January 24, 2022 at age 96. Mary was the oldest of four children, followed by Patricia, Michael and Catherine. From Ontario, the family moved to Vancouver, Canada and later to Bend, Oregon where Mary graduated from high school. She enrolled at Marylhurst Catholic University in Oregon graduating with a BA in Science. Mary interned in the medical laboratory at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA, later accepting a medical thechnologist position at Lewiston Hospital in Idaho where she met and married Wilbur "Bill" Henry having three sons, R. Thomas, Paul and Michael.
Bill's promotions took the Henrys to Flagstaff, AZ, Des Plains, IL, Kalamazoo, MI and finally to Lebanon, NJ. In October 1998, Bill lost his valiant battle with cancer. Mary continued their retirement plans to settle in Sun City West, AZ as their 3 sons had all relocated to AZ through the years. Mary resided there for 23 years enjoying family outing, international travel, the opera, arts and local activities. She was a docent and volunteer at the West Valley Art Museum.
Mary is survived by her oldest son, R. Thomas Henry, wife Christine of Skull Valley, AZ; middle son Paul, wife Bernadette; granddaughter Samantha and 2 great grandsons of New River, AZ; and youngest son Michael, also of Skull Valley, AZ. She is survived by her youngest sister, Catherine and family, and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
A memorial mass for Mary will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 at 12:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 W. Palmeras Drive, Sun City, AZ 85373.
