

Max Braden Hildebrand, 88, of Peoria, AZ, passed away on August 9, 2014. He was born in Bay City, MI to Albert and Aletha Hildebrand. He attended Michigan State University, earning his Bachelor’s Degree and Memphis State Law School, earning his Juris Doctorate. Max honorably served his country during WWII in The United States Army, earning the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Battle Star and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon also with a Bronze Battle Star. In 1950, Max married the love of his life, Shirley Lindsay, who predeceased him in 1988. Max left a legacy by celebrating Shirley’s life with annual family reunions during Thanksgiving on St. Petersburg Beach. Professionally, Max worked for Universal Electric Co. in Owosso and Ripley, TN for 38 years and retired as Vice President of Human Relations. Max enjoyed his retirement by hiking the Appalachian Trail, bungee jumping in New Zealand, backpacking around Europe and running several marathons and 10K’s with family members. Max is survived by his four children- Mark Hildebrand of Mt. Vernon, IN, Terri Petty of Peoria, AZ , Scott Hildebrand of Glendale, AZ and Julie Brewer of Playa del Rey, CA- one brother, Jim Hildebrand of Foster City, CA, seven grandchildren , five step grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by one sister and one brother. Services will be held privately.
