Pauline Wanda Esh

Pauline Wanda Esh, 84, passed peacefully into eternity on April 3rd, surrounded by the deep love of her family. With grace and warmth, she closed her eyes on this world and stepped into the everlasting light of Heaven, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who knew her.

Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to William and Pauline Carpenter, Pauline was raised with her beloved sister in the heart of the Mennonite community by their devoted foster parents, Ed and Eva Eby.

From an early age, Pauline had a natural talent for creating beauty in the everyday. With an exceptional eye for interior decorating and a knack for making any house feel like a welcoming home, she filled every room with comfort and grace. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she lovingly prepared delicious home cooked meals that drew family and friends together. Her sense of humor added a sparkle to even the simplest moments, and her laughter will long echo in the memories of those who knew her best.

After marrying the love of her life in 1959, Pauline and her husband made a bold and heartfelt move to Arizona in 1974, where they built a life rich in love, laughter, and shared moments. They found joy in the simple pleasures—watching classic movies, reminiscing, and embracing each new chapter hand-in-hand.

Of all her roles, none brought her more joy than that of mother and matriarch. She is survived by her 7 children: Beverly (husband Barry), Lori, Jodi (husband Brett), William (wife Shannon), Stuart (wife Annie), Jamie (wife Julie), and Jeremy (wife Becky), 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded by her beloved husband, Harold, and their infant son, Douglas.

Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the laughter of children, the comfort of shared meals, and the enduring bond of family and friends. Though she has left this earthly world, her light continues to shine in the lives she touched, and the love she gave will never fade.

A memorial service for Pauline will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 North Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
