Bob was born in Emery, South Dakota to John and Henrietta Jennings. He grew up in Bridgewater, South Dakota and later attended the University of South Dakota (USD) on a football scholarship. While at USD, he earned a commission in the US Army as a Second Lieutenant. During his career in the US Army, he served his country in two wars and as a Green Beret, earning various citations for his bravery and service. He retired from the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel after 21 years of honorable service.
Following his Army retirement, Bob worked for the State of Indiana, until finally relocating to Arizona to be closer to old friends and family.
One of the many things Bob will be remembered for was his passion for wood working, spending most of his free time crafting furniture for others.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary Jane, his son Timothy and wife Patricia, son Tyler and wife Ann Marie and granddaughter Kendra.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 19th, 2016 at 1pm at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, Arizona.
