Robert Michael Walsh

Robert "Knobby" Walsh, 86, was born July 12, 1930 to Thomas and Vivian Walsh in Rockford, IL. After a short stint in the Navy, he married his high school sweetheart, Flora Muzyczek, on November 18, 1950. They remained married for 66 years. In 1957 with three kids in tow; Michael, Cathy, and shelly, they moved to Arizona for mom's health. Their last two children, Theresa and Colette, were born in Arizona and the state proved to be and ideal place to play and coach his daughters in his favorite pastime sport of softball, leading SVDP to a city championship.

Dad enjoyed all sports and loved to watch the Suns, Cardinals, and diamondbacks and was their assistant coach from the living room. Dad loved everything Irish, St. Patrick's Day, Irish Whiskey and especially Notre Dame football. He enjoyed taking the bus with his sisters when they visited to "donate" to the casinos. Dad caught his last bus on Friday, February 24, 2017.

Funeral Mass 10am, Saturday March 4 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. Visitation will be from 9am - 9:45am in the vestibule of the church. Military honors will follow the mass.
