I can’t believe my buddy Ronnie has left us. He will always be remembered as a very good friend and fellow business man. We done a lot together in the past years. Good bye my friend and rest in peace. Jim Taylor

I wrote this wishing I would have had the courage to read this at your memorial, I wish I had been there in person.. maybe I would have. I wish even more so that I had not taken time and life for granted and told you this in detail one more time...  Even as scared as I was to lose you when I was last visiting you, I STILL took time for granted. Shame on me. 
They say it takes a village to raise a child. I think back to my childhood constantly and see you leading that village. That village FILLED with love and support was LEAD by YOU. You were the best leader a village of love could have ever asked for. I cried to Aunt Jackie about this same thing recently, how LUCKY I was to have been raised in this/by this village. No one will ever know the incredible childhood I had thanks to you and YOUR tribe. I will forever be grateful. And needed to tell you one more time what you did for me and how your love impacted me and will continue to for the rest of my life. 

Dad, Friend, Grandpa, Papa Ron, Brother, Son, Uncle, Husband, are some of the many hats that Ron wore. To me he will always be Dad my HERO. I have always looked up to and strived to be like Dad. He was my friend. He has saved me on many occasions, as he did for all of us.  He never turned his back on anyone and he was always there to help. I met Ron our Dad about 32 years ago and he made me feel like a  part of the family immediately. The fact that he took on a huge family and was very successful at everything he did, was very impressive to me and showed me what a man should be. Our Dad Ron has made a huge impact on me and my life. I love you and I will miss you Dad. 

Ron, Papa Ronny, never failed to make us smile. Though States apart, he would send Holiday well-wishes, memes, GIFs; and yes, stock market tips via his smart phone!  His use of the smart phone features was rather impressive 💕. A connection that will surely be missed by all of us!

But beyond that, we will always remember how much he cared for, and loved his family.  Our hearts are with you today, and always!


Grandpa was someone you were truly blessed to know. I have many favorite memories and laughs that I am so happy to carry with me forever. I loved coming to visit and we would go for our morning walks and he would walk us outside with his winter coat telling us we were crazy because it was “so cold”. I loved when I came to visit and we took ubers and he was so excited about them and kept saying “let’s just order a ‘youber.’”I loved listening to his funny stories about his new phone and all the coupons he could get from Burger King and Mcdonald apps. I will miss him asking how I pronounce my name. I will miss the memes I would get everyday. Memes of just saying hi, a meme for every holiday, and a meme saying he misses me. I wish I could have been there for more but I am so happy for the memories I have for the rest of my life. Rest easy grandpa, I know you are already causing trouble up there ❤️

My greatest memories are of my grampa. Life is never perfect, but when I was with my grandparents, it was.
 
I go back to Sundays in church, when I didn’t want to sing or participate and grampa would pinch the back of my arm and make funny faces at me so I would sing along..
I think back to him letting me help with the record player in the basement during parties. I remember the candies in the car that he would share with me. I remember the toothpick that grampa always needed to grab on the way out of the restaurant. I remember the nice long walks together to get gelato. I remember the second I spotted grampa at the gate as soon as I would get off the plane. I remember thinking I was with the coolest man I would ever know, and he was MY grandfather. I remember talks at night while sitting outside. I remember grampa telling me to make friends. I remember grampa telling me stories about my mom when she was young and thinking how lucky she was to have him as her dad. My grandpa took me on adventures that I will never forget.. adventures that were ours.
I remember thinking my entire life, including now, that I could never settle for anything less than the love you had for gramma – the way you always held her hand, the way you kissed her hand in the car, the nicknames you had for her.. the way you spoke like she was your queen, like there was no one on this earth that meant more to you. You have been my hero for all of these reasons and so many more. You showed me what love was, you showed me what it was to truly look up to someone, you were my favorite person. 
 
Grampa, I know you are in heaven driving around with the top down, doing 90 around the mountain cliffs because you know you are larger than life.
Your laugh, smile and love are larger than life.
You will always be SO MUCH larger than life to me.

I also got a lot of good stock advice from him, even made a little money. I don't think there is anything Ron didn't know about.  He talked often of Margaret about how much she helped him with his claims and how good of a decorator she is.  I have many more fond memories of him.  Oh and one last thing, I don't think there is anything he wouldn't do to help you if he could, he had a good heart.  Ron I love ya and know where ever you are, you are doing a milk run. Then when I became an independent adjuster like Ron we started working together. I would ras him that I was a better adjuster, this would always get him going.  We would trade lots of war stories then admit he was the better adjuster.   Then there was the time he and I raced our cars, he had his Camaro and I had my Maxima. I knew his Camaro wasn't running on all cylinders at the time so I suggested that we race them. I don't remember where we were at at the time but we started going down the road and I got out ahead of him and always joked my car would beat his Camero.  Ron loved that camero.

Ron was one of a kind. He will always live in my heart. I still remember the 1st time I met him, I was working for Allstate Insurance when he and his partner at the time came in to market us. During our meeting he was a man of few words but over the course of our time being friends that change greatly.   I started giving him work and that is when our friendship began. I remember he would come running into our office and say that he needed a check printed real quick. He had made a settlement and it was contingent on him getting a check back to the insured right away. He was always good at cutting deals.

Ronnie and Margaret were very good friends of mine and Carolyns. I was very fortunate to visit Ron when I was in Arizona this past winter and will miss him terribly, he was just a great friend but also a very good businessman.we worked together on many of his rentals. Now him and Carolyn will be together in a better place with no discomfort and talk about all the things that came up through the years. Love you Ron.  Jim Taylor and family
