Ron was born October 12, 1944 in Indianapolis Indiana to Elizabeth I Martin and Lucien C. Martin. He attended Indianapolis public schools graduating from Howe High School and obtained a BS degree in Business from the University of Evansville in 1966. He served in the US Army from 1966-68 and was stationed in Korea on the DMZ. He returned from the service and worked at LS Ayres and Co. for 16 years. He was employed by the VF Corp. as a sales representative for Indiana and surrounding states until his retirement in 2008, when he and his wife moved to Sun City West. Ron loved all things baseball having played from little league thru college. He also kept up with the latest technology with Apple products. He married Rebecca E McIntosh in 1969 and they raised two children in Greenwood Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, a daughter, Amanda (Bradley) Compton, a son Nicolas (Amy) Martin. Ron is also survived by his sister, Nancy Anders and two nieces, 5 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. A private family celebration of Ron's life will be held in Indiana at a later date.
