Ruth worked for many years at both McGraw Hill Publishing Co and Sears & Roebuck Co. as a Customer Service Rep.; she was also a dedicated apartment manager.
She loved arts and crafts, cooking and baking, sewing and keeping her home lovely. Ruth loved to interact with her life-long friends and family, many of whom have preceded her in death including her son, David Pomerantz.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Ben Pomerantz of Sun City, AZ; children, Philip Pomerantz of St. Lois, MO and Jennifer McCrary of Sumner, WA; brothers William H. Jones of Selma, NC and C.F. Jones, Jr. of Selma, NC; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM Tuesday August 2, 2011 at the First Country Baptist Church, 12844 W. Santa Fe Dr., Surprise, AZ 85378.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ruth’s name to First Country Baptist Church Building Fund.
