Tino was born on September 27, 1958, to Barbara Jeanne and Frank Fassio Jr. The youngest of seven Fassio children, Tino enjoyed growing up with siblings and friends in Castro Valley, California, and he embraced much of what 1960s and 1970s America had to offer. In later years, he resided in Sun City, Arizona.
He was a kind, compassionate, and deeply loved man who was known to have never met a stranger. He seemed to become friends with everyone almost immediately, leaving behind a lasting legacy of friendships in both California and Arizona. In 1980, Tino met the love of his life, Kathy, and in 1987 they were married in Carmel, California. Tino loved and cherished his wife, and together they built a life that many admired.
Tino worked for Coca Cola for 30 years as a transport truck driver and proudly retired in 2014. After relocating to Sun City, Arizona in February 2018, Tino found continued purpose in retirement through employment with the Recreation Centers of Sun City for over seven years, beginning as a custodian and later serving as a Facility Attendant.
Tino had many interests, especially a strong love for animals. He leaves behind his precious dog, Cookie Monster, who is almost 18 years old. Tino also enjoyed photography, bowling, golfing, shooting, and many of the activities offered through the Recreation Centers in Sun City. Above all, Tino had a special bond with his creator, Jesus Christ. He maintained a deep personal relationship with Jesus, spending much of his time praying for those he loved and furthering his relationship with the Lord. He was also a devoted member of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church.
Tino is survived by his wife Kathy Fassio; sister Denise Music; brother-in-law Frank Music; brother Mark Fassio; sister-in-law Khaliunaa Fassio; and brother-in-law Chad Nickerson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Tino was preceded in death by sisters Pamela Mason and Lisa Fassio, and brothers Steve and Craig Fassio.
Services will be hosted at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church and will be live streamed and recorded. Service information will be listed once available.
Tino was deeply loved and cherished, and he will be profoundly missed.
