

Virginia Egli, 88, of Peoria, AZ, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2015. She was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana in 1926 to Virgil and Eva Robbins. She was the only child of an Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame inductee high school basketball coach. She was a life-long music teacher, married to Paul Egli, who was also a music teacher and preceded her in death in 1998. They did not have any children, but they loved their nieces and nephews as if they were their own.
Virginia lived in many different places over the years: Brook, Valparaiso, Frankfort, West Lafayette, and Morocco, Indiana; Greenville, Illinois; New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and finally Sun City West, AZ, where she moved with Paul in 1996. She was active, playing piano and organ in Southern Baptist churches over many years. She loved music, tennis, watching sports, and serving the Lord. She is survived by a cousin, two nephews, two nieces, three grand nephews, one grand niece, four great grand nephews, and four great grand nieces.
Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Sunland Mortuary - Lakeside Chapel, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., in Sun City, AZ 85351. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday. Burial alongside her husband Paul, will be at Sunland Memorial Park - Garden of Peace.
