

Willard Wayne Grosz (Bill) was born October 3, 1937 in Circle, Montana and died peacefully at his home in Westbrook Village in Peoria, Arizona on Friday morning, August 8, 2014. Most of Bill’s youthful years were spent growing up in North Dakota. After graduating from Gackle High School in 1955, he attended Yankton College where he met and married his sweetheart , Ginette (Poulsen) on August 17, 1958. After graduation in 1959, Bill served his country as a Captain navigator assigned to the Strategic Air Command. Upon completing his service he attended Iowa State University where he earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration. Bill’s business career included administrative positions at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska and the Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation in Kansas. After full retirement, in 2008, he and Ginette moved to Peoria, Arizona. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and son, Steven. He is survived by Ginette, son Michael (Gina) and grandchildren, Sarah and Evan.
A memorial service, honoring Bill’s life, will be held at The Congregational Church of Sun City, AZ on Friday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to the Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation (www.shawneemission.org/foundation).
