Carolyn Irene Frakes, 66, of El Mirage, Arizona, passed away on September 9, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oris and Irene Good, daughter, Dawn Kellogg and sister, Marlene Ries. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles William Frakes, children, Jeff Lanning, Greg Frakes, Tracy Frakes, John Frakes, Jared Frakes, Audrey King, Amy Frakes and Kimi Frakes, 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and brothers, Gerald, Marvin and Clifford Good. Carolyn also leaves behind her other children, Scot Newbrough, Jack Chang, Stuart Ries, Grant Ries, Jennifer Jaramillo, The Crum Children and Grandchildren, The Denning Children and many others that called her "Mom". Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Cactus Lane Ward, 15880 Cactus Rd., Surprise, AZ 85379. Interment will take place on Friday in Kansas. Arrangements entrusted to Surprise Funeral Care, Surprise, Arizona.
