Cathy you are thought of and missed. Rest easy.

Remembering you is easy, I do it most every day. Missing you is heartache, that never goes away.

Dear Cathy,  
Today, (7/25/2025) will mark the third year since you started your journey to heaven to be with our parents, family, friends, and God.  
I know you are our angel in heaven now.  I pray for you everyday to help out our families and friends just as you did years ago. Everyone misses and loves you so much. I feel your presence everyday.  When I go out for my walks at night I always look at the moon and the stars just as we always did when we walked at night in Arizona. I feel your presence when I go to Sedona and visiting The Chapel of the Holy Cross. I feel your presence while I go to the casino, talking and helping our neighbors, even cleaning the house on weekends. (I had a good teacher).

Dear Cathy,  At actually 7:31 P.M. on this date, (7/25/2022 ) you started your journey to heaven to join our loving parents, family, friends and God. My grieving will never stop. If there was no love in the world, there would be no grieving. That is why myself and everyone else that you touched are still grieving for our love of Cathy.  Today and everyday I always reflect, remember,  and pray for you, our families,  and our friends. I await the day that God calls me to start my journey to heaven so we can reunite as husband and wife and join our parents and family.  I miss you so much. Remembering all the UCONN basketball games I attended with Cathy and all the fun we had.

Cathy, our hearts are broken. Our beautiful sister gone much too soon. We will always remember you as a caregiver, especially to mom. Cathy, the family member who kept the family together. Hosting all the holidays...no one loved the holidays like Cathy. A fun loving spirit who loved to gather. Thank you for taking the time to visit with us every time we came home to Connecticut, hosting us often. We will miss those weekly phone calls and your summer visit to Newport. We will always remember your sweet smile, your love for Peter, and your zest for life. Godspeed.

Aunt Cathy was one of my biggest supporters. I could always feel her love no matter how far apart we were and knew that I could speak with her about anything. She was like an extra parent and friend wrapped up in one and I am so lucky to have had her presence in my life. 

Aunt Cathy, you will be missed in so many ways. Holidays won’t be the same without your themed cards and I probably won’t ever walk into a casino without thinking of you first. My UConn experience would be much better if I could share it with you, but I know you will be cheering me on during my good days and guiding me along during my bad ones. I am so grateful to have grown up with you in my life, I only wish I could have had more time. Love you lots. 

Cathy was an extraordinary nurse and made a difference for patients at The Core Institute Specialty Hospital PAT department.  She will be missed for her laughter, excellence and great care to our patients.


Cathy and I first became acquainted in the early '80's when I started to work for Johnson Memorial Hospital.  Over the years, as part of the "JMH crew", we would travel together, going on cruises and to Orlando, St. Martin and the Berkshires.  We had a lot of fun together and then after I left CT, much to my delight, Cathy and Peter moved here to Arizona, just down the street from me!  Cathy was a great nurse and a good friend.  I will miss her.

She has  touched my heart in so many ways.
I will always remember her beautiful smile, and her compassion for life and others.

Cathy: a giving soul.
Just one of a lifetime of happy family memories is captured in this photo - memories Cathy made with & for me. She was always thinking of others & it gave her so much joy to make others happy. Shortly after moving to AZ she sent an email with a cactus picture,  "Our first backyard cactus bloom. Hope it brightens your day. XO" Always the "XO" on every correspondence - I will really miss that.
Cathy, I will hold tight to your spirit to guide me to find the bright spot in every day. You are gone much too soon and it breaks my heart.   Your loving sister, Patrice




My husband Brian and I extend our sincere condolences to Peter and all of Cathy’s family. Cathy was a wonderful friend and super lady.
She was intelligent, talented and a true nurse dedicated to her profession.  When I first met Cathy at work I was a bit afraid of her🤣 but we shared the same sarcasm and worked it into a fabulous friendship. We had many fun outings and getaways to the casinos and stayed up all hours of the night laughing.
We also worked through many tears as close friends do.
I will miss her dearly. God Bless❤️

Constable Kostecki will live forever in my heart. We met while we both worked at Connecticut surgery center many years ago. She was a fierce caretaker of all the patients she touched. I loved her and she was a loyal friend to all. So many laughs and happy fun memories. I wish she had never left us. Literally and figuratively. She was a super nurse and a kind loving spirit. We went on to work at St. Francis GI Endoscopy where the laughs and hard work continued. Be free of pain. Move onto your better place. Barbara Trantolo

I write this with a heavy heart. Cathy was an amazing, warm, funny and fun loving cousin. We grew up together, and she was like a sister to me. Over the years, I've seen her become a strong women, nurse, friend, and aunt to my girls, Kate and Liz.

I have many happy memories playing in So. Windsor with Cathy and her siblings; but some of my fondest memories are with her at Bonnet Shores. We walked and talked the beach many days.

May your memory and fun loving spirit be with us as we grieve your loss.

Peter, there is nothing I can say to lessen your pain.  I am so sorry for your loss. 
I met Cathy through work. She trained me in the department she last worked at.
She was always patient with me even though I  was probably driving her crazy with all my questions. But that is who Cathy was, patient and very understanding.  We were there for each other when work got to be overwhelming.  I remember one of her emails she sent recently saying she needed to get off work early to celebrate your birthday, Peter. I told her to make sure you both enjoyed some cake that evening.  She responded and said that's the plan! 
I will miss Cathy. She had endured so much and she was still willing to be there for everyone, her pateints and coworkers. 
May you rest in peace dear friend. 

Cathy was a wonderful cousin who loved her family unconditionally. We shared many happy childhood memories and many happy memories in our adult lives. She was a  kind and loving person and her spirit will live on forever. God bless you, Cathy.

Cathy was one of the best people I had the pleasure of knowing.  She was more than a friend, she was family.  She lived with us for a few months before leaving Connecticut.  We had so much fun traipsing to all the craft fairs; concerts and plays.  I tried to talk her out of going to Arizona but she just loved Peter beyond measure.  It brings me comfort to know she's no longer in pain and with Maddy & Daddy again.  Sending Peter, her family and friends peaceful, loving memories of our beloved, Cathy.  'Til we meet again, my friend, xoxo.

Cathy you have been taken from us far too soon! We had so much fun with our gang at HealthSouth Surgery Center back in the day. Yo were always the one to do our "party planning"....Cirque du Soliel, and Wicked with our gang. You worked hard at nursing for many years and helped all of your family....mom, nephews , your father in law. and your sister. I am so sad you are gone. Rest well after all your caring for others. I’m in shock  and disbelief. 

Remembering the life of my dearest friend and the times we shared together – 

We called her Auntie Cathy because special friends are the family you choose.  Throughout her life, Cathy was that special friend to many. She brought such joy and happiness to those she loved and never forgot a special occasion, big or small.  Her ‘signature cards’ brought laughter to our days.  How lucky we were to have something that makes saying goodbye so difficult.  

Cathy - I am better for knowing you, better for loving you, better for having met you. May you be as blessed in the next life as I was in this one by knowing you.  Rest in peace, my dear friend.
