Christopher "Chris" Alvarez Ornelas

ORNELAS, Christopher Alvarez, 55, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on June 19, 2015. Christopher "Chris" was born in Bakersfield, California, on October 25, 1959. He attended Shafter High School, then moved to the "South Bay", where he worked in the family restaurant, Casa Pulido, in Redondo Beach, California, for more than 14 years. He met and married Colleen Gilboy, of Lomita, in 1992. They had their first child, "Robbie", in 1996. After living in South Carolina, for two years, Christopher and his family, moved to Arizona, in 2000, where their second child, Olivia, was born in 2001. Christopher and his family lived in Surprise, Arizona, for the last 15 years. Christopher was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Ornelas Guerrero. He is survived by his parents, Robert Ornelas, Sr., and Juanita Marie Ornelas; his beloved wife, Colleen Gilboy Ornelas; his son, Robert "Robbie" Ornelas; his daughter, Olivia Faith Ornelas; his brother, Robert Ornelas, Jr.; his sisters, Shirley Ornelas Flores, and Sandra (Vincent) Barulich; his nephews and nieces, Joseph (Tracey) Flores, Anthony Barulich, Blaze Ornelas, Marissa Ornelas, Natalie Ezell, Scotty Guerrero, Justine Kincaid, Craig Guerrero, Jordan Guerreo, and "R. J." Guerrero, Brady Narbut, Zachary Narbut, Courtney Svoboda, Brittney Svoboda, Matthew Svoboda, Ryan Gilboy, Connor Gilboy, Morgan Gilboy, and Caden Gilboy; his great-nephew, Sebastian; and his great-niece, Whitney Flores; his mother-in-law, Sharon Gilboy; his sister-in-law, Erin (Michael) Gilboy Narbut; and his brother-in-law, Sean (Holly) Gilboy and his sister in law Christina (Jerry) Sroboda. Arrangements are entrusted to Surprise Funeral Care.
