Debra Jean Stewart

Debra (Debbie) Jean Stewart, 68, of Buckeye, AZ passed peacefully Friday, August 27. A fierce love of family defined this sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother born July 31, 1953 to Charles Christian and Dorothy Helen Clausen Michaelsen.

Described as mother earth incarnate, Debbie lived a nurturing life. Always caring, loyal, and involved, everyone in her family knew her heart was theirs for whatever was needed of her. Debbie cherished gardening; giving life and watching it flourish is a passion she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through those who love her.

Those carrying on her loving legacy include siblings Wes Michaelsen and wife Val, Jan Woods, Betty Sikkema and husband Bruce, Kathy Peters and husband Gerald, Mike Michaelsen and wife Pam, daughter Julie Keim and husband Jonas, step-son Scott Stewart, daughter-in-law Nichole Clark, grandchildren Cassie Stewart, Denzil Carpenter and fiancé Emily Smith, Willis Keim, Athena Drotzmann and husband Dennis, Edna Shelton and husband Chandler, Joe Keim, Braden Keim, Coby Keim, Caroline Clark and great grandson Ronin Shelton. She is proceeded in death by her parents Charles and Dorothy Michaelsen, husband Wilfred (Bill) Stewart of 33 years, sister Carol Berner and brother-in-laws Jim Woods & Ben Berner, son Lieutenant Colonel William Clark and granddaughter Vivian Clark.

The family is holding a private service in her honor. She will be interned with her husband Wilfred (Bill) Stewart.
