Dennis Paul Nordquest

Dennis Paul Nordquest, 75, of Peoria, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2024 after a long and valiant battle with multiple myeloma. A beloved husband, father, brother, friend, and “papa”, Dennis lived a life filled with tremendous kindness, loyalty and encouragement of others.

Dennis graduated from Oberlin College where he played intercollegiate baseball. His professional life spanned multiple industries including college administration and healthcare. He retired in 2014 as Director of Physician Relations at Akron General Medical Center (Akron OH).

After retiring, Dennis and wife Mary Alice moved to Arizona to be closer to their daughter. He spent time golfing, coaching bocce and being the best “papa” to his young grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Dennis loved being with his family, Cleveland sports, particularly the Guardians, good cookies, and taking care of his garden and little dog Sophie.

Dennis is survived by his love and wife of 52 years, Mary Alice, their daughter Megan and son-in-law Brian Schwallie, his two treasured grandchildren, Bennett and Norah Schwallie, and his brother David Nordquest (Ashtabula OH).
