Frederick Anthony Eger

After completing high school, he moved to Easton, PA.

He was married to Darlene Segreaves Eger on October 11, 1969. They resided in Lopatcong Township, NJ until moving to Surprise, AZ in 2006. Fred worked at Mack Printing Company in Easton, PA. He enjoyed fitness training at the Easton Area YMCA, taking care of his lawn, watching western movies, listening to music of the 50’s and 60’s, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and going fishing, especially with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; grandchildren, Scott F. Eger, Anthony D. Eger, and Alexis J. George; sisters, Susan Behe, Bernadette McGuire, and Ruth Brothers; cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott F. Eger, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Phillipsburg, NJ and then Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West, AZ.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Surprise Funeral Care in Surprise, Arizona from 3-4 PM Saturday, December 4th for fellowship and sharing of memories.

He will be buried in the Bloomsbury Cemetery in Bloomsbury, New Jersey. A Celebration of Life will be held at Flynn’s on the Hill in Phillipsburg, New Jersey Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12 PM.

Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or Easton Area YMCA in Easton, PA.
