

Harold A. “Bud” Perry, born on April 13, 1940, to Robert F. Perry and Helena D. Hicks Perry, Bud passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, in Arizona.
Bud grew up in Mt. View, Wyoming, where he graduated from high school with the class of 1958.
In 1962, Bud married Della Gregory, and together they welcomed two daughters, Sondra Perry Dent and Brenda Burd. The couple later divorced. He later married Vicky Lyman, with whom they welcomed a daughter, Lynette Perry Gutshall.
Bud dedicated many years of his life to the telecommunications industry, starting with Union Telephone before moving to Mesquite, Nevada, where he served as the telephone office manager for Rio Virgin Telephone. He continued to work for various telecommunications companies until his retirement in 2003. Bud joined the Army in 1957 as part of the 82nd Airborne Division. He successfully completed his Lineman Training I January of 1958 and received his certificate in Parachute Packing Maintenance and Aerial Delivery in December of that same year. He served until he was honorably discharged in 1963.
Bud was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Bob and Lena Perry, and his sister, Lois Perry Petersen. He is survived by his daughters, Sondra Perry Dent, Brenda Burd and her husband Shane, Lynette Perry Gutshall and her husband Brian, and daughter in spirit, Toni Baker. Niece and nephew Tressa Tripp and Dave Petersen. Great- nephews William and Garie Tripp. He was a grandfather to Tyson Perry, Hilarie Chandler, Whitney Schlager, Ryan Lapp, Ben Stapleton, Abby Fraughton, Nicole Christine Murphy, and husband Mohammad Alshaikh, Ashley Layne Sadsad and her husband Eric, Lake Elliot Gutshall, and Brook Orion Gutshall. Bud was also a great-grandfather to Audrey Perry, Uriah Perry, Leela Perry, Bodie Chandler, Connor Curry, Taylor Ross, Tanner Taft, Jackson Lapp, Ray Lapp, Della Stapleton, Ella Murphy, Jaxon Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Lyla Sadsad, and Lucas Sadsad.
Bud will be remembered for his kind heart, his family, and his contributions to the telecommunications field. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched. A celebration of Bud's life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to gather and share memories.
