In his younger days Jimmy worked hard to realize his dream of becoming a seafarer and attended the maritime Academy at Piney Point Maryland, where he successfully graduated as an Abled Bodied Seaman. He worked as a cook aboard bulk, carriers, and cargo, ships and traveled the world.
When he got older he would fondly reminisce about his seafarer days and talk about becoming a seafarer again or just volunteering to work on any ship or boat, including boats owned by friends and relatives. He was kind soul and always brought a smile to your face with a joke. He would give you the shirt off his back leaving nothing for himself with no complaints. He was grateful for his friends and family and missed his mother and father who have also passed away. He loved the ocean where he will be laid to rest in a place called Horseshoe shoals off Martha's Vineyard where he spent a lot of time boating and fishing with his family and friends growing up. God bless you Jim you will be missed more than you could know. He is survived by his brother John, sisters Kathy, Mary Jean and Chris and many nieces and nephews. Rest in peace Jimmy.
