On April 16, 2015, our son and brother, Kevin Dean Hoffman, passed from this temporary life, to an eternal one with Jesus. Kevin was born April 6, 1962, to his loving parents, Donald and Louise Hoffman, who survive. Kevin is also survived by his sisters, Tina (Duke) Mondale, and Lisa (Frank) Jones. In addition, he leaves behind his children, Alicia Hoffman, Tabitha Healy, and Brett Hoffman; his grandchildren, Kylie Healy, Lilly Healy, James Hoffman, Victoria Hoffman, and Zach Hoffman; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Kevin "never met a stranger" and leaves behind a wide circle of friends. He was also blessed to have a special girlfriend, Leah. Kevin attended Hawthorne Elementary School, Sweet Home Junior High School, and Sweet Home High School, before joining the United States Army in 1979. While in the Army, Kevin served as a border guard in Germany. Upon leaving the military, Kevin worked for several years in the Salem Post Office. For the past 10 years, he has made his home in Arizona. Kevin was an avid sports fan, especially rooting for the Oregon Ducks and the Oakland Raiders football teams. Arrangements are entrusted to Surprise Funeral Care. A Memorial Service for Kevin will be held in Arizona, on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W.
