Dorothy Cole and Family,

Helen and I are sadden to hear of Mike's passing, especially given the untimely nature of God calling him home. We enjoyed and cherished your and Mike's fellowship and spirit in our small group for nearly two years. We did not understand the breadth and  depth of accomplishments in Mike's military experience as he was modest in this respect. It surely demonstrates Mike's earnest commitment to serving our country as well as his serving and living for Christ. Pass forward this message to  him that  while we shared in love varying points of view we knew and appreciated we were standing on the same rock of faith and belief.

May Christ continue to strengthen you and your family as you walk in the absence of Mike's physical presence but with his spirit.

The news of Deacon Mike’s passing on to glory left me both saddened and a little confused at first. I wasn’t sure if it was the same dear soul I knew, until I spoke with his beloved wife—my friend and sister in Christ, Mrs. Dorothy Cole.
I had the blessing of meeting Deacon Cole and his wife at Tabernacle Church in Laurel, Maryland. From the very beginning, they welcomed others with such warmth, kindness, and genuine love. They were truly a beautiful couple, united in their deep devotion to God.
Deacon Mike was a humble and gracious man, a true gentleman who cared deeply for others. He served the Lord with a sincere and passionate heart, and his life reflected Christ’s love in such a meaningful way. He will be greatly missed, and fondly remembered for the many good works he carried out with love and compassion.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace in the bosom of the Lord. And may the Almighty God continue to comfort, strengthen, and watch over his dear wife and family, surrounding them with His peace now and always.

No one is ever ready for when a good man passes on. I knew Brother Mike, as he was fondly called, while he and his wife Dorothy served for many years   as Deacons with the Tabernacle Church of Laurel, MD. He was a gentle, kind and loving man. He was ever ready with a smile and a hand to help. I distinctly remember how easy going and quick-witted he was. He loved jokes and would often share them with whoever was enjoying his company. But most of all, his faithful service to Christ, the church, and his family will always remain an endearing reminder of the great man he was. He left the world better than he met it. And although the pain of his loss is real, we rejoice in hope of the resurrection morning where we shall all meet again in the glory of Christ. May the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit abide with Mrs Dorothy Cole, and all members of the surviving family.
