

Michael Steven Miner, a brave, beloved, hard-working, and resilient individual, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on September 6, 1972, in Phoenix, Arizona, Mike was the cherished son of Steve and Diane. He spent his formative years in Arizona and developed a passion for hockey during his teenage years. After graduating from Trevor Browne High School, he embarked on a career path that would utilize his natural skills and talents.
Mike began his professional journey in the construction industry as a rodbuster, eventually advancing to the role of project manager, following in the footsteps of his father, Steve. Known for his dynamic mind and analytical skills, Mike was a problem-solver and a valued asset to his industry.
For 34 years, Mike shared a life filled with joy and harmony with his life partner, Sarah. Together, they raised four children—Danessa, McKayla, Chance, and Austin—whom they loved deeply. Mike and Sarah's mutual love for horses, which they discovered while working at the Point at Tapatio Cliffs riding stable, was a significant part of their shared life.
A devoted Star Wars fan, Mike cherished family time and was an avid supporter of his children's sports teams, always present on the sidelines. Known for his humor, kindness, intelligence, helpfulness, and generosity, Mike leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love.
He is survived by his life partner Sarah, daughters Danessa and McKayla, sons Chance and Austin, brother Tommy, sisters Becky, Michelle, and Wendy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, colleagues, and friends who held a special place in his heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Surprise Funeral Care, located at 16063 W. Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374. Mike's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
