Robert Owen Kunze, age 81, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 after a 17 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Robert was born on December 2nd, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Margaret Louise Peterson and Royce George Kunze. He was a Marine who served in the Vietnam War. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Barbara S. Kunze who supported him in every step of his way since marrying in 1984. His essence will forever live on in the hearts of those that knew him.
Robert is survived by his dear sister Diana Kunze, his brother Donald Kunze, many nieces and nephews, his best friend and pastor, Vern Schmidt, many friends including those in his men's group and long-time friend David Rosenberg. A private military honors service will be held April 2025, at the National Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Any donations may be given to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and the Muhammed Ali Parkinson Center.
