A sad day to hear of Rod passing.  He was a great supervisor at the Sheriff's Office and continued to be a friend long after.  He usually (always) had a tip for my golf swing or cooking.  I can still hear his laugh and his entertaining us with his singing at FOS. He was so good at including eveyone at events.  Our sympathy to Sharon and family.

Rod was a joy to be around here at the Ftn of the Sun where he lived for many years. Whether it was at the Pancakes Breakfasts that he & Sharron hosted for many years, the wonderful Minnesota Dinner Dances they hosted for years, the Happy Hours at the golf Club or just visiting, he was always fun to be with. And he always sang!
We'll miss you Rod and our arms will be around you Sharron. We love you.

Rod always had a why of making you laugh and his love for 
lifes simple pleasures was contiguous to everyone around him. The way he made a ordinary dish become a masterpiece  was amazing I never knew if I ended up at uncle Rods or the galloping gourmets house . Fun memories from the cabin up north and the trips to the links with his friends in Arizona will be sadly missed. So sad to realize the loss Sharon and family feel right now. We enjoyed the fun times in Carefree..his jokes, his singing, playing cards,his hospitality, and keeping an eye on him from across the street! His warm personality always gave us a reason to smile. All Rod's friends from North send their condolences to his family.  He was always where the action was and most of that was on the dance floor with his pals!  He will be missed but not forgotten!

We have such fond memories of our visits together with Rod and Sharron, playing cards, enjoying Rods cooking, laughing at his jokes and his great hospitality.  We will miss him.  Our prayers are with your family.

A man who took from his time to help others.  A combination of ethics and humor that earned respect.  You are missed.  Many prayers of compassion and loving kindness to his loved ones.  How wonderful that he was so much a part of your life.  I am grateful that he was a co-worker at Hennepin County Sheriff's Department.
