Tonya Shiree Colvin

Tonya Shiree Colvin, beloved mother of her two children, Lacey Chanel Colvin, and Tanner Scott Colvin, passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 60. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on November 14, 1963, to Clarence Goodman and Kaye Ledbetter. She grew up in Peoria, Arizona, where she graduated from Cactus High School in 1981. On January 10, 1998, Tonya married her beloved Ronald Scott Colvin.

If you looked up the definition of “human kindness,” there you would find Tonya’s picture. A genuine and pure soul that was larger than life, an avid animal lover, but as we all know, it was cats that mostly stole her heart. All her friends and family knew undoubtingly that she loved them, and she made sure to tell them every day. Her hobbies and passions included softball, shooting pool, and getting creative with a pen and pad.

The family would like to thank all our friends and family for the care, support, and compassion they’ve showed Tonya in her final days. The funeral service is being held at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 West Bell Road, Surprise, Arizona 85374 on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 2 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend a reception following the service.
