My Mom has taught me many things in life. One of which is to be a strong independent woman, also to be kind to everyone. She has always shown love and cares for everyone. She always would bring smiles to everyone's face with her fun whit. She has been such a positive influence in my life. Nothing prepares you for this. You are finally with your eternal sweetheart, Dad. Thank you Mom for teaching me to be the woman I am today.  You can finally rest. Your work here is done. You will always be held in my heart. I LOVE you!

My friend Vilma , what other than the best friend to me in over 60 years , helpful friendly and very kind , she was like a sister to me always will love you . auf  Wiedersehn .... til we meet again.

The first time Vilma had an impact on our family was when the "Welcome Wagon" lady came down and asked her to visit another "Mormon" lady who had just moved in who was homesick - my mother. We all attended the San Jose 6th Ward together, where the adults were all like aunts and uncles to me - and Vilma in particular. She was our Advisor when my friends and I were 14 and 15 years old, and we all loved her kind guidance. She was always funny, loving and kind. I felt safe walking past her house every day to school, knowing she was there and would help me if I ever needed it. She will be missed, but I'm grateful for her lessons on the Plan of Salvation, which helps us know we will all be together again one day.

Many people had many reasons to love her . . . mine, oddly, had to do with sarcoidosis (don't worry if you don't know about it - no one else does either . . . but my husband had it and Vilma knew about it!) and Bob Brinker, among other things . . .  - i know she'll be missed in so many ways, but rejoice in the knowledge that she will be enjoying joyous reunions and waiting to welcome her family  . . . (my daughter babysat some of the grandkids . . . and considered herself fortunate to do so, i believe . . .  )  - b, with condolences

Aunt Vilma always had a kind word and a beautiful smile. She will be truly missed.

Aunt Velma was always as beautiful as the photo of her. Her manner was as gentile, and interest in others sincere as her eyes. May her family members always find comfort in the memory of her love and example.

I lived next door to Mr. and Mrs. Johanson, and have such fond memories of both of them! She was so good to us...I babysat Brooke and Britta. Sometimes Mrs. Johanson(I still can't call her Vilma :-) ) would let me come over and earn money by ironing for her...but as soon as she saw I was hot, she would have me sit down and drink 7-up! Ha..don't think I ever ironed very many items! She also worked for the doctor that delivered a couple of my babies..every time I saw her, whether at the doctor's office or home, she was so concerned for me, sweet, and very funny! It was such a pleasure knowing her (and Mr. Johanson)!

One of the loveliest women I've ever known.  Vilma was always kind and always had such a great sense of humor.  It was a great privilege to have known her.  Ray and I send our love to all of you and rejoice in our knowledge of eternal families.

I missed her a lot when she moved out of our ward. She was very friendly and kind when we first moved in
