Andre Edmund Thompson

It is with great sadness and love that we announce the passing of André Edmund Thompson on September 12, 2025, at the age of 81, born December 25, 1943, on Long Island, Bahamas. André grew up in Nassau, Bahamas, where he began a life grounded in family, faith, hard work, and a touch of mischief.

André was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his honor, loyalty, and the way he lived each day with love and respect for those around him.

He had a gift for making people feel cared for. He never turned his back on anyone, and he showed up for his family no matter the challenge. His big laugh, his unmistakable smile, and his strong presence will be deeply missed—but even more lasting is the legacy of love he leaves behind.

Above all, André’s greatest pride and joy was the life he shared with his beloved wife, Allison. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and warmth, a place where family and friends were always welcome. They enjoyed traveling, celebrating milestones, and creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Allison passed away on February 25, 2019, and we take comfort in knowing that André is now reunited with her. Their steady support, joy in life’s simple moments, and unconditional love inspired everyone who knew them.

André is survived by his loving children, his brother and sisters, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 3rd at 12:00 pm at the Evangelist Chapel at Gardens of Gethsemani, followed by burial at 1:00 pm.
