Marie passed away peacefully November 12, 2019 with her loving husband and step son by her side. Marie was born November 13, 1933 to Jakob and Katharina Faul. Marie was predeceased by her parents and brother Adam. Left to cherish her memory, husband of 45 years Rino, step son Mark (Marlene), nephews Kevin (Debbie) Faul, Mark (Della) Faul), Greg (Amy) Faul, niece Cheryl (Fred) Odgers and many, many great (great) nieces and nephews.
Marie born and raised in Regina began her working career with Sask Power and later IBM. During these years’ aunt Marie took pleasure taking her niece and nephews to the annual exhibition taking in all the rides and enjoying the tasty fair food. Aunt Marie also took pleasure in buying special gifts for birthdays and Christmas. Marie always kept family first whether it was treating the niece and nephews, looking after her parents as the need arose. Summers were spent enjoying the family cabin at Mission Lake and holiday adventures with her best friend Irene McNeil. Marie was a true Saskatchewan Roughrider fan through and through attending many rider games and game parties cheering them on through the good times and bad.
Then along came Rino
• Married
• Moved to Vancouver
• Worked at chevron #yrs.
• Special friendships developed ie Ken & Shirley / George and Marie
• Learning to cook the special lasagna minestrone soup pasta Etc etc etc
Even though Marie lived and worked in BC she and Rino for years made the annual trip to Saskatchewan to visit friends and family, cheer the riders on with all the rider priders and enjoy the warm, sunny Saskatchewan summers and friendly mosquitoes. Family still came first and Rino shared this value with Marie whether it was offering a bed, cooking those delicious suppers or sharing a glass of Rino’s fine wine with the visitors from Saskatchewan, or from overseas, always felt welcome. Bringing her father from Regina to BC to care and comfort him in his final years.
