Coleen Isobel Johnston was born on May 14th 1941 in Gull Lake Saskatchewan to David and Isobel Johnston. She was the oldest child of four and is survived by Warren, Sandra and Lorna, her three siblings. She is also survived by her own four children, Michele, Sharon, Evan, (Tamara), Michael, (Tania) and eleven grandchildren’ Shayne, Devin, Micaela, K-Lou, Owen, Nathan, Natasha, Jordan, Nolan, Sebastian and Maxton. She married Maxwell Dickhof on September 27th 1960 and lived in Regina Saskatchewan until 1971 when the family moved to Richmond BC.
She made many friends at Trinity Lutheran church, and was involved in the LWML. She always had a listening ear, gregarious nature and industriously worked at whatever she put her mind to, whether baking and canning, or making sure all had their newspaper as regional director of the Globe and Mail. Later, she successfully supported herself as a network marketer which suited her personality perfectly.
Coleen loved her grandchildren and was involved as she could be in each of their lives. She was a collector of angels, teddy bears, and travelled with friends and family until her health started to fail her.
Coleen will be missed by her friends and her family, her sense of humor and quick wit was evident to the end.
