February 9, 1951 – December 14, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Bernard on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 while working in Chilliwack, B.C.

Daniel was born in Olds, Alberta on February 9, 1951 and was the first of four children. While growing up and attending school in Olds, Daniel or as many fondly called him, Danny, was a favorite amongst his many cousins and friends and he had continued to keep in touch with many of them over the years.

For the last 30 years Daniel lived and worked in B.C with his home being in Surrey. Daniel ran his Water Jet Restoration Company for most of these years and cultivated many good friends and colleagues during the course of his work endeavors.

Daniel had a wonderful quality about him and that was making good friends very easily. Everyone who knew him wanted to be around him and enjoy his company.

Daniel is predeceased by his parents, Anna and Bill Bernard. He is survived by son, Trevor, his grandsons, Riley and Kellen, his brother David ( Barbara ), his sister Bonnie (Toni), nieces Erin and Dana (Jordan) and her daughter Sylvie, and his sister Brenda (Ray), nephew Ryan and niece Megan.

Daniel was suffering from severe cardiac disease but, through it all, was managing quite well. We are sure he was glad to go out doing what he loved best—working.

He will be profoundly missed by us all.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Service, Fraser Heights Chapel, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey, B.C.
